1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, registering on, creating or claiming a profile on, contacting an advocate through, or otherwise using VakeelSahab.in (“Website”, “Platform”, “we”, “our” or “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the Platform.

2. Nature of the Platform

VakeelSahab.in is an advocate-listing, legal-information and legal-tech platform intended to help users discover advocates, review profile information and access general legal-information-related digital features.

Unless expressly stated for a specific service, VakeelSahab.in is not a law firm, does not itself appear in court for users, and does not become a party to any advocate-client relationship merely because a user searches, views, contacts or engages an advocate through the Platform.

3. Advocate Profiles and Information

Advocate profiles are primarily based on information provided by the concerned advocate or person maintaining or claiming that profile. Such information may include name, enrolment details, location, experience, practice areas, education, languages, profile photographs, contact information and other professional details.

Advocates are responsible for ensuring that information submitted by them is truthful, lawful, current and not misleading.

4. Meaning and Limitation of “Verified” Status

Where the Platform displays a “Verified”, check-mark, badge or similar status, such status only indicates that the Platform has carried out the limited verification applicable to that profile or credential at the relevant time.

5. Independent Verification by Users

Before selecting, appointing, consulting, engaging or making any payment to an advocate found through the Platform, users must exercise independent judgment and satisfy themselves about the advocate.

Users are advised to independently verify, as appropriate:

• Identity of the advocate.
• Bar Council enrolment and current professional status.
• Professional experience and area of practice.
• Office address and contact details.
• Scope and terms of professional engagement.
• Professional fees, expenses and mode of payment.
• Any document, claim, representation or credential considered material.

6. Advocate-Client Relationship

Any consultation, appointment, professional engagement, legal advice, representation, fee arrangement or advocate-client relationship is directly between the user and the concerned advocate.

Merely accessing VakeelSahab.in, reading content, submitting a search or enquiry, or viewing an advocate profile does not by itself create an advocate-client relationship between the user and VakeelSahab.in, Advocate Amardeep Jaiswal, or any listed advocate.

7. Fees and Payments

Unless a specific Platform service expressly states otherwise, professional fees payable to an advocate are negotiated and settled directly between the user and that advocate.

VakeelSahab.in does not guarantee, supervise or control an advocate’s professional fee structure and is not responsible for fee disputes, refunds, expenses, retainers, advances or payment disagreements arising between users and advocates.

8. No Guarantee of Result

No profile, verification status, listing position, search result, communication, article, tool or information on the Platform guarantees any court order, bail, acquittal, decree, compensation, settlement, recovery, injunction, appeal result, quashing, award or any other legal outcome.

9. General Legal Information — Not Case-Specific Legal Advice

Articles, FAQs, calculators, blog posts, summaries, educational material and other general information available on the Platform are for general informational purposes.

Laws and judicial interpretations may change and the applicability of law depends on facts and jurisdiction. Users should obtain advice from a qualified advocate before acting on general information where legal rights, liabilities or deadlines may be affected.

10. User Responsibilities

Users agree that they will not:

• Provide false, misleading, fraudulent or impersonating information.
• Use the Platform for unlawful, abusive, defamatory, threatening or fraudulent activity.
• Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, databases, servers or administrative systems.
• Scrape, harvest or misuse personal information from advocate profiles.
• Upload malicious files, code or content intended to damage the Website.
• Use the Platform to send spam, unsolicited marketing or deceptive communications.
• Misrepresent affiliation with VakeelSahab.in or any advocate.

11. Advocate Responsibilities

Advocates using or maintaining profiles on the Platform agree to:

• Provide true and reasonably current professional information.
• Use only photographs, documents and material they are entitled to use.
• Promptly update materially inaccurate profile information.
• Comply with applicable professional conduct rules, laws and Bar Council requirements.
• Avoid making misleading claims, guaranteed-result claims or deceptive representations.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional obligations independently of the Platform.

12. Profile Review, Suspension and Removal

We may review, restrict, suspend, correct, disable or remove a profile or account where reasonably necessary, including in cases of suspected impersonation, false information, unlawful activity, security concerns, misuse of the Platform, user complaints or breach of these Terms.

Such action may be taken without creating any obligation on the Platform to continuously monitor all users or profiles.

13. User-Submitted Content

Users and advocates remain responsible for content, documents, photographs, descriptions, reviews or other information submitted by them.

By submitting content intended for public display, the submitting user grants VakeelSahab.in a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, display, reproduce and technically process such content for operation and promotion of the relevant Platform feature, subject to applicable law and our Privacy Policy.

14. Intellectual Property

Except for user-supplied content and third-party material, the Website design, branding, software, databases, text, graphics, logos, search interfaces, arrangement and other original Platform material are owned by or licensed to VakeelSahab.in and may not be copied, reproduced, republished or commercially exploited without permission, except as permitted by law.

15. Third-Party Services and Links

The Platform may use or link to third-party services, including hosting, maps, email, messaging, analytics, social platforms or payment-related services. We are not responsible for the independent terms, availability, security or privacy practices of such third parties.

16. Platform Availability

We aim to keep the Platform reasonably available but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or always-available access. Features may be modified, suspended, upgraded or discontinued for maintenance, security, legal, technical or business reasons.

17. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform and its content are provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis. We do not warrant that all advocate information will always be complete, error-free, current or suitable for a particular user’s needs.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, VakeelSahab.in, its operator and persons involved in operating the Platform shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special loss arising merely from use of the Platform, reliance on advocate profile information, third-party conduct, service interruption, professional engagement with a listed advocate or payment made directly to an advocate.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

19. Complaints and Reporting

If a user believes that a profile contains materially false information, impersonation, unlawful content or misuse of the Platform, the user may report the matter to us for review.

A complaint submitted to the Platform does not substitute for remedies available before the Bar Council, police, court, consumer authority or any other competent authority.

20. Privacy and Data Protection

Collection and use of personal information are governed by our Privacy Policy. Users should read that policy together with these Terms.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Platform after publication of revised Terms will be subject to the updated Terms.

22. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law and any mandatory jurisdictional requirement, disputes concerning the operation or use of VakeelSahab.in shall be subject to the jurisdiction of competent courts at Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India.

23. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable by a competent authority, the remaining provisions shall continue to remain effective to the extent permitted by law.
